Clean, dry corrugated board bonded with corn starch glue is a normal scratch surface. Scratching is not the same as eating.
What we control in the factory
Board, corn starch glue, and the print file. FSC board is available when the program asks for it. ISO 9001, FSC, amfori BSCI, and SMETA scans are on certificates. Certificate numbers stay on the scans. We do not mark every SKU as FSC.
The plant is in Longgang District, Shenzhen. Incoming board, in-process glue and moisture, and finished goods are checked before a carton is closed. The checkpoints are IQC, IPQC, and FQC. Edges are finished in production so the first touch is clean. A worn pad is a replacement, not a repair with tape.
What the pet owner still checks
- Loose flakes and a pad that is coming apart.
- A damp smell or a soft spot.
- A cat that chews and swallows paper. That cat needs supervision and a replacement before pieces come free.
Humidity is the usual reason a sound pad starts to shed. Keep the piece dry. Flute still matters: BC suits a lounge or a house, B suits a pad, and E suits a face that is mostly print. Those choices are made in the sample, on the materials page, not as one safety claim for every SKU.
What this page does not claim
It does not say every ink is food-contact safe. Print is specified per program. Send the market’s requirements with the artwork. It does not say every SKU is FSC. Certified board is used when the brief asks for Chain of Custody. It does not publish a dust-shed rate. A clean edge and a dry board are the controls we can state. A cat that chews and swallows paper needs supervision. Scratching a pad is ordinary. Eating loose pieces is not.
Buyers who need the scans open certificates. Numbers stay on those files. The same corn starch glue is used on the corrugated structures made on this floor, including pads, houses, posts, and the cardboard toys that sit beside them. A litter tray adds a waterproof lining. That lining is confirmed on the sample. It is not described here as a replacement for every permanent pan.
Questions
Is the glue corn starch on every structure?
Yes. The corrugated structures on this floor are bonded with corn starch glue.
Are inks food-safe by default?
Print is specified per program. Send the market’s requirements with the artwork. We do not stamp a blanket food-contact claim on every face.
